Webmail login

After  a security issue this afternoon  which needed a password change to my  usual email address I am now being told to log in to my.bt to start 2 stage authentication. Not trying to rob your post, but I also cannot get into MyBt anymore. I did get in once last night out of 5 or 6 tries, (changed nothing), but then when I tried to view my bill it just hung again with a twirling busy circle. I joined about 6 weeks ago, and though for a month or so could get into MYBT,  since billing me the last week or so its been like this, super iffy. You can no longer access your email account through MyBT. You have to use the BTMail log on page.

  • It then comes up with the error too many attempts.

Have a read through the instructions on the log on page. I keep getting too many requests when trying to login into BT email account, what is wrong. I have the same problem, sometimes i get the old email log in page and that still works but then i get the new one and it refuses to move away from the page were you put your user name. It then comes up with the error too many attempts. When i do get in and get timed out i just get a blank screen were as in the past it took you back to the log in page so i have to start the same frustrating cycle all over again. I have been trying to log in to all 6 of my email accounts and have had the same response as above.

  • I don’t check the box and I haven’t had a problem with being logged out.
  • Although I tick the box “keep me signed in” I get logged out if I am inactive for a fairly short time.
  • My experience with BT has been worsening over the last year, and  Iwill move to Sky or Trooli within the next month or so.

Ever since the login change, my email page no longer keeps me signed in as it used to. Although I tick the box “keep me signed in” I get logged out if I am inactive for a fairly short time. Before the change, I could go for days without having to log in again.

How long does it log you out after? I don’t check the box and I haven’t had a problem with being logged out. Endless “too many requests” responses when trying to log trading indices strategies in to Webmail.

My experience with BT has been worsening over the last year, and  Iwill move to Sky or Trooli within the next month or so. You could also try using the email app that comes with Android phones which will be a better way to access your email without having to use BTMail webmail using a browser. I’ve added my post to the growing number of BT email users posting on the “email disconnections have returned” thread who are also experiencing this problem.
